Nurra Yazıcı - The artist creates artistic productions& works of art with many experimental researches and applications such as analogue texture researches in video and digital photography, multi-layered prints in photography, common narrative language of literature and photography, pictorial photography production, improvised shooting.
In her works, especially the sky, clouds, blurred colour transitions, flow, details in everyday life, texture and different surfaces create imaginary layers. She uses emptiness as a source that promises infinite possibilities for creation.
The artist believes that photography is an artistic production driven by inspiration, just like writing and literature. While focusing on the healing aspect of art, he uses many different techniques such as multi-exposure photography, pictorialist photography and graphics in his works. Nurra Yazıcı held her first solo exhibition at Kıraathane 24 Gallery 1 on Meşrûtiyet Street in Pera, Istanbul between December 2023 and January 2024. Between 10 March – 6 April 2024, an artistic research project exhibition at Bahçeşehir University FNArtspace, which will constitute the first part of the Artist Book that the artist has been working on for a long time and will turn into her second solo exhibition in 2025. Since 2008, Nurra Yazıcı has been producing artistic works and has been living in Houston, Texas since 2015.
