Evitan
Born in 1989 in Istanbul, İpek Evitan graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts in 2014. She has participated in many group exhibitions and symposiums. Since 2015, she has been continuing her illustration works in Istanbul.
In her works, the artist takes the viewer to utopian places and draws the viewer into a fictional space between dream and reality. His illustrations take you on a fairytale journey; sometimes you can get lost in the night, sometimes among giant birds or forests. The artist establishes a connection between nature and human beings in other universes.
The Night Tales series tells the fantastic stories of the night with illustrations. In a fairy tale universe, we see the night, forest animals, forest guard and a fantastic universe.
The artist, who illustrates children's books, also narrates his own works and writes stories within them.
